As an avid bird enthusiast, I've spent countless hours watching the fascinating birds that visit my yard. Woodpeckers, in particular, have stolen my heart. There's something magical about seeing these majestic birds cling to the feeder, their vibrant colors and intriguing antics captivating me for hours. Living in Grand Rapids, Michigan, I'm thrilled to have dozens of woodpecker species visiting my feeders daily, including Downy, Hairy, Red-Bellied, and Northern Flickers. My ultimate goal? To attract the elusive Pileated Woodpecker! This dream sparked a collaboration with my husband, combining our creativity and craftsmanship to design the ultimate woodpecker suet feeder. The result? Our stunning, handmade cedar Birdy Buffet™ Suet Feeders! When we shared our collection of handcrafted feeders with friends and family, the response was overwhelming. Everyone loved them, and soon, we were flooded with requests. That's when Birdy Buffet™ became a family affair and our family business. Today, our entire family… my husband, our 19-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son, and myself, work together to handcraft each feeder in our home workshop. We meticulously select each piece of cedar wood, sourced locally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and pair it to create not only a feeder but a beautiful work of art. At Birdy Buffet™, we're committed to building feeders that stand the test of time. That's why we use only the finest materials, carefully selected for their durability and resistance to the elements. Every feeder features all stainless steel fasteners, ensuring a secure and long-lasting construction. But what really sets our feeders apart is our innovative Grip Groove™ design.
